On behalf of the Police Service of Northern Ireland, I am delighted to advise that as of this school term the PSNI are offering work experience to students between the ages of 16 to 18 years.
This will take place at Enniskillen Police Station between 17-19th June 2019, consisting of a 3 day program which will introduce students to some of the roles performed by Police Officers and Police Staff.
The related learning objectives are as follows:
- Increase awareness of policing and various roles
- Working as part of a team
- Listening, evaluating information, prioritising information and sharing information
- Decision making
- Showing compassion/empathy when working with victims or vulnerable people
Places on the PSNI work experience scheme are limited, therefore this invitation should not be taken as a guarantee of a placement. If oversubscribed, PSNI will prioritise the offer of places using a scoring matrix based on current barriers to recruitment.
Applicant details are requested by 29th May 2019 . If you are interested and wish to take up this opportunity you must contact Mr Dempster in school ASAP.
