Enniskillen Royal 1st XI vs STRABANE GS
It only took five seconds for Strabane to get on the score sheet when the two sides met at the Bawnacre on Saturday morning. It was an ominous start by Strabane, but once the ERGS players had regathered themselves it would be the end of the second half before Strabane would score again.
ERGS started to build some momentum of their own with some excellent passing from the whole team. The third minute saw Sophie Coalter equalise for the ERGS team closely followed by an excellent penalty corner from Emma Beatty. The second half saw a third goal by Morgan Aiken and third for Sophie Coalter. The Strabane number 10, who had scored the first excellent solo goal for the visitors, made it two for Strabane only for ERGS to then quickly score a 4th. End to end play continued with another goal from Emma Beatty and another from Strabane resulting in a final score of 5-3 to ERGS.
In the following games the winning streak continued with wins for the U14s 2-1 and the U13s 2-0. A great days hockey for all the teams!!
