Year 12 Geographers travelled the short distance to Derrygonnelly Field Studies Centre to immerse themselves quite literally in the Sillees River. Having overcome all Health and Safety considerations the intrepid adventures entered the river to test their fluvial hypotheses. Monday’s group got a drenching from above and below as the Heavens opened on them only for Wednesday’s group to suffer from potential sunburn. The trips were a great success; rarely do school groups collect 6 sites of data but ERGS managed it on both days.
Not such a Sillees day out after all!
