It was a pleasure to welcome Preet Chandi (‘Polar Preet’) into school today to talk to our Yr13 Geographers about her recent expedition to Antarctica completed on the 3rd January 2022. Recently returned to the UK, Preet shared the story of her decision to take on her incredible journey from the 2 years of training through to the actual solo 40 day expedition to the South Pole. She spoke about what inspired her, how she maintain her motivation and overcame the many challenges she faced on the way. A very inspiring account and definitely a lot of useful advice and ideas to take forward for our young people.
