This year’s Yr10 FMOSH (Football Makes Our Shared History) project group enjoyed a great day to Queens University Belfast where they attended a lecture on the power of sport and play as a tool for peace and bringing communities together. They were able to listen to a panel of lecturers, sports stars and coaches from across Ulster, who shared inspiring personal stories and thoughts. After lunch they enjoyed a guided tour of the Queens campus including the library, impressive sports facilities and newly refurbished Students Union.
Over the last month the group of U14 rugby players have been putting together their own project on the history of Rugby at ERGS and its positive influence on bringing communities together. Their finished project is a short film which we are excited to release this weekend on our ERGS App, so keep an 👁 out.
For now though, a great day out with a great bunch of ERGS pupils and home with plenty of ‘food for thought’.
