On Wednesday 31st January, some of our Year 11 and Year 12 pupils took part in the UKMT Intermediate Mathematical Challenge. This challenge encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems. Well done to all pupils who took part!
Freddy Parkinson, Barry Hutchinson and Oleksii Dolzhenko achieved Gold certificates, with Freddy achieving Best in the School and earning a place on the Pink Kangaroo follow-on round on 16th March, which is fantastic. Eloise McDonagh achieved a Silver certificate and Ethan Downey and Amelie Martin achieved Bronze certificates. Annie Fowler and Zara Welsh each received a Certificate of Participation.
This is a difficult challenge, so well done to all who participated.
