The Drama Department are showcasing their production of Twelfth Night, which was recently presented as part of the Shakespeare Schools Festival at the Ardhowen Theatre on Thursday 24th November at 7pm. Director Sally Rees explained “Getting involved in the Shakespeare Schools festival was a brilliant opportunity for students to not only engage with the words of the Bard, but also work together in the spirit of creative endeavour and perform on a professional stage, alongside other schools from Fermanagh. The performance in the Ardhowen was a sell out, meaning some people missed out and we wanted to give a wider audience a chance to see it.”
Twelfth Night is a map cap tale of twins separated at sea, unrequited love and mistaken identity, involving a cast and crew of over 30 students from across Year 10, 11, 13 and 14. Setting the play in a ‘Gangstas Paradise’ the performance is underscored by music developed by Rose Connolly, a Y13 student studying AS Performing Arts, ably assisted by Year 10 students, Ruth Beadle, Rebecca Dickson and Calum Smith and fellow Year 13 student Odhran Mahon. One of the cast said “It was so much fun and I can’t wait to have a chance to perform it again.”

Tickets are available in advance from the school reception at both Loughshore and Cooper Crescent, priced at £5 for adults and £2.50 for students.
