The Gold DofE group had a very productive half term break, at Gortatole Outdoor Learning Centre where they learnt canoeing and rescue skills over a three day programme. Conditions were wet and windy and the “All in capsize training” resulted in a swim with the water being a cool 10 degrees.
Congratulations to all for becoming a very interactive and competent group.
As if she wasn’t busy enough Yr13 pupil Emma Loane then spent a few days painting a shop window for the British Heart Foundation charity shop. The theme which inspired her was “sustainability” and all who work at the charity shop love her painting.
