The English and Drama department ran a joint trip to the Bord Gáis, Dublin to see the West End production of Blood Brothers.
Accompanied by Mrs Rees, Miss Rasdale, Mr Colhoun, Mrs McDowell, Mr Elliot and Mr Beddard
121 Year 10 English and GSCE drama students, who have all studied the text, throughly enjoyed this much loved epic musical. There was lots of foot tapping, singing and a few tears at the tragic end.
The students were particularly impressed with the stage design, lighting and sound effects bringing the show to its dramatic conclusion.
The production will hopefully be a source of inspiration for the Year 10 when they take to the stage for the annual Shake it up Shakespeare house drama competition in April, while the GSCE drama students will be able to write A grade essays now!
