On Monday our Senior girls netball squad travelled to Omagh to face ( for the first time), Loreto Convent.
We played at the Station Centre which unfortunately, does not have a full-size court. The girls were hoping this would mean less running, but alas, this was not the case!
From start to finish, the game was fast-paced and free flowing with the Omagh side clearly knowing their team and their venue inside out.
Despite facing this much stronger side, our girls put up a valiant performance with some fabulous goals from our shooters Niamh and Amanda. The third quarter was by far our strongest, with much more ball retained and won by the ERGS girls.
Unfortunately, it was not to be, as Loreto ended up victors on the day.
Valuable lessons will taken from this game and used in the next match against Thornhill on Friday 2nd December.
