Congratulations to the five Enniskillen Royal Grammar School swimmers who represented us at the Ulster Schools Key Stage 3 Championships held at the Ards Blair Mayne Leisure Centre in Newtownards on Sunday 23rd April. This gala was aimed at swimmers from years 8, 9 and 10.
Ellie Dunlop (14) qualified as first seed for the final of the 50m Breaststroke where she led from the start to win the Ulster Schools Championship Title. This was followed up by a super swim in the 100m Individual Medley, finishing 3rd fastest overall Ulster Schools and secure her place on the Tenerife training camp at Halloween.
Russell Mikievicz Lumayad (13) smashed his PBs in both 50m Backstroke and Freestyle events in the Year 9 category.
Ryan Mongan (13) hit the wall with new PBs in both 50m Breaststroke and 100m Individual Medley events in the Year 9 group.
Erin Salcedo (12) was delighted with her new PBs in both 50m Breaststroke and Freestyle in the Year 8 events.
Sarah Speer (14) was very pleased to produce new PBs in both 50m Breaststroke and Freestyle in the Year 10 category.
Many of these swimmers will carry these valuable competition experiences into their preparations for the 3 day Ulster Long Course Championships in Bangor next weekend.
