Friday 3rd saw the Yr11 girls rugby team play their first competitive match after starting to play rugby last year.
The friendly against Foyle College was played 10 aside to allow as many players as possible get as much game time as possible.
After a nervous start conceding the first try, the girls kicked into gear and scored the next 7 tries with no reply in the first 1/4.
The second and 3rd 1/4s went in the same vein, ERGS out scoring Foyle 6-1 and 5-1.
The 4th 1/4 proved a little tighter as everyone got tired from the ferocious tackles they had been making all match but ERGS still managed to out score Foyle 4-2.
The team managed to put together some excellent tries many straight of the training pitch, while also showing great game awareness and ability to play good heads-up rugby.
