This week’s entries to the Celebration Gallery demonstrate some of the fantastic work and independent learning being done by ERGS pupils as they remain in lockdown but keen to keep their learning going. Don’t worry if your work isn’t included this week as teachers have been sending through all kinds of material that we will keep uploading over the coming days and weeks.
Year 8 Weather Stations – The Geography department have been using an army of Year 8s to record the lockdown weather conditions in Fermanagh over the last month. Some ingenious and original designs have been appearing daily on Google Classroom – Well done to all those you have taken part and submitted their designs and please check out Ethan’s Instructions and Natalie’s video below the image – Mr Mason

The Ks3 Green Entrepreneur Challenge set by the LLW department has yielded some pretty creative products for lockdown. The challenge was to design and construct a prototype product from recyclable materials that people would buy and use around the home. – Ms Stephenson

Mrs Rees was delighted with the 9C’s creative storyboards. The class were asked to change the locations of Willy Russell’s play ‘Our Day Our’ to Northern Ireland – how lovely to see some of our tourist spots when we can’t visit them at the minute. Yr10 Clay Tiles -These wonderful pieces were set in the kiln just before lockdown and quite a nice surprise for the Art Department to discover the other week.
Yr10 HE – Elisha, Kerri, Lucie, Will (aka Miss McFlubberty) and Cameron have all been exercising their consumer rights through the HE curriculum as they take on Play.com over faulty goods and unsatisfactory customer service. – Mrs Wynne
Yr10 Mathematics – Year 10 pupils continue to engage daily with their Maths curriculum and regularly send in some excellent examples of their work and learning – Mrs Downey

AS English Students are studying the text ‘Frankenstein’. Pupils were asked to use the Anki App or card to make revision cards for the character of Victor and the creature which they can then use to help in the completion of an exam style question (and develop essay writing technique for next year).
