Are you interested in practising your German translation skills?
Queen’s College, Oxford, is launching a new competition, the Anthea Bell Prize for Young Translators.
The competition runs in March 2021, but there are 3 introductory workshops to explore translating poetry, fiction and non-fiction. These have been launched this week in conjunction with International Translation Day which is celebrated every year on 30th September.
Mrs Donald will be running these 3 workshops FOR YEAR 12 GERMAN STUDENTS during lunchtimes on Mondays in preparation for the competition.
The first workshop takes place on Monday 5th October, 1.15pm in T8.
Please let Mrs Donald know if you are interested!
Year 13 and 14 German students will also be working towards this competition alongside their A Level German studies.
Mrs McCready-Bamber will be running the workshops for Year 10 – time and date to be confirmed.
