Emma Corrigan is one of our Yr13 pupils who successfully applied for the Grant Maker Apprentice Programme back in September after seeing it advertised here on our School App. Emma has been in touch with us at school this week to promote the programme and has asked us to post the following message about the superb work she is involved in and the opportunities it offers to others.
“I applied for the Grant Maker Apprentice Programme back in September after seeing it advertised on the school website, and got accepted around the end of October. I’m in a team with 4 other girls from around Fermanagh and we all have the common goal of wanting to give back to our community which has given so much to us, something that we as young people don’t get the opportunity to do very often. We’re hoping to give out grants of up to £1000 to groups and small charities within Fermanagh who want to make a difference in one of our key priority areas: local poverty, young people’s mental health and anti-social behaviour. Our goal is to ensure that the people who need our help the most receive it, as there are so many people who are suffering with these issues in silence and just need a helping hand to get through. “
Applications for ‘Grant to Give Back’ close on Friday 19th March.
