We had a brilliant buzzy day in school today celebrating World Book Day with our Big Booky Bake off competition and “dress up as a book character” competition at Cooper Crescent and Cakes and Bakes at Lough Shore library.
The uptake for the Big Booky Bake off was truly impressive with a fantastic array of wonderful imaginative book themed creations. The winners were:

James and the Giant Peach cupcakes by Yolly Brannigan 10D.
The Dress Up competition results will be announced soon, but costumes ranged from Alice in Wonderland to American Psycho, with everything in between!.
Thanks to all the hard work, imagination and effort that all the students and staff have put into celebrating World Book Day. We have also made a handsome profit from cake sales for new books for our libraries.
