On Monday 11th December, our junior Netball Squad played local rivals, St. Fanchea’s college at the Lakeland Forum. I must say that the 11 girls in attendance all proved their right to have been chosen for the team. There was a great positivity and confidence about them all that showed on the court. Our shooters ( of whom we are lucky enough to be able to choose from four), were all on form. Goals were being slotted in from various angles and distances within the shooting circle. This, combined with superb midfield and defensive play, ensured our girls had a great match. Final score, after 4 quarters of intensive play, saw our girls walk away at victors by 26 points to 8.
They will now progress to the next round of the shield, yet to be announced.
