We are delighted to announce the winners of the Book Buzz 2021/22 Art competition. First prize went to Lauren Gavin 8D for her humorous cartoon depiction of Rat by Patrice Lawrence. Runner up prizes were awarded to Harley Sheppard 9D and Aimee Turner 8E for their Rat illustrations, and Poppie Beddard 8B for her quirky character drawing from When Life Gives You Mangoes by Kareen Getten.
Book Buzz has been a brilliant and fun festival of reading this term, with a very high level of participation, 100% quiz scores and brilliant book reviews added to the Eclipse Library App. Belmore and Cuilcagh came joint first for house scores, very closely followed by Benaughlin and Trien. Well done year 8 and 9 for your impressive performances!
We finished the term with a fun “Festive Flavoured” Kid’s Lit Quiz and year 8 and 9 demonstrated a pretty impressive display of book knowledge and great teamwork! The winning team was Belmore closely followed by Benaughlin, Trien and Culcaigh.
