On Thursday 14th September Harry McKenzie, Annabelle McKenzie and Tori Lilly travelled to Belfast’s Mary Peters Track to take part in the Multi Events Athletics Competition. This was a first time competing for ERGS in this particular competition.
Harry took part in five events – 80mH, shot, long jump, 200m and 800m. Harry scored well across all five events with a top 1st place performance in the 800m with a time of 2.07.61. His total points secured him a 7th place finish overall.
Annabelle and Tori competed in the minor girls in what was a very competitive field of 37 athletes. The girls took part in the 75m H, shot, long jump, high jump, and 800m. Again both girls scored well across the five events with both having their best event in the 800m. They finished a very respectable 18th and 32nd place overall.
Well done to all three athletes on what was a long and tiring day for them.
