We had a busy week before half term for Numeracy week with lots going on. Thank you to those subjects who incorporated numeracy within their lessons for pupils to be able to see the links across the curriculum. There are a few photos here from a recent Geography lesson.
We had ‘Guess the Number of sweets’ on both sites with Evie Morrison (Yr13) and Ben Fawcett (Yr14) winning those and we also had a Kriss Kross Number Challenge with Joshua Coalter (Yr13) finishing with the fastest time.
We have had a Year 8 & 9 Times Table Challenge ongoing for a few days. Ashvik Rao (Yr9) answered the most questions overall and Matthew Brownlee (Yr8) had the fastest time for answering questions. Well done to everyone. A special mention to Munashe Chitepo (Yr8) who was very close to these two winners in both challenges. Thanks to all who took part.
Year 8 had a Numeracy Afternoon which consisted of Bingo, Maths Puzzles, a quiz and a treasure hunt. We finished off with juice and number shortbread. It was a fun afternoon with pupils really getting involved. Hopefully they all enjoyed themselves.
The total amount raised for NSPCC was £113.06.
Well done to all involved, for all your donations and thank you all for your participation.
House points have also been awarded for all competitions.
