KS3 Geography pupils demonstrated their active citizenship skills by participating in the Send My Friend to School Campaign. They explored how global emergencies such as conflict, climate change, and COVID-19 have severely impacted access to education, learning that over 244 million children were unable to attend school last year. Pupils discussed the long-term effects this could have on children’s futures and lent their voices to the national campaign by creating jigsaw puzzle pieces with messages urging the UK government to take action to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education for all. These messages will be sent to our local MP, who will present the issue in Parliament.
