Some pupils from years 8 and 9 pupils took part in the UK Junior Mathematical Challenge on Tuesday 30th April. This was challenging but gave them the opportunity to apply their mathematical skills to problem-style questions. Congratulations to all who took part. Many of the students were awarded certificates.
Bronze certificates were awarded to the following pupils:
Kathryn Johnston-Martin, Eamon Greene, James Morrison, Emma Egerton and Isaac Hutchinson.
Silver certificates were awarded to the following pupils:
Olivia Beavis and Carly Graham.
Gold certificates were awarded Iain Fleming and Rory Keogh.
Rory also received Best in the Year. On the back of his great result, he was invited to take part in the Kangaroo Challenge. We await the result from this.
