A great win for the 1st XV this morning against Friends School Lisburn. The win sees the boys progress to the Quarter Final of the Schools’ Cup where they will face Wallace High School.
The game was a nervy affair with Friends scoring an early unconverted try out wide to put them 5-0 up.
ERGS settled and playing into a stiff wind battled their way up the pitch and got a try of their own courtesy of lively scrum half Alex Howe. Jake Irwin added the conversion.
Playing with the wind in the second half Enniskillen kept the scoreboard ticking over with Jake Irwin adding two penalties from distance. 13-7 to ERGS.
ERGS dominated the remainder of the half but no further scores were added.
