After many false starts, Wednesday 19th October saw the U14s travel to Fivemiletown HS to play Drumragh Integrated in their first match of the season.
The match got off to a quick start with ERGS dominating possession. That possession was quickly turned into a goal scored by Sarah Gallagher from a cross from Lily McFarland.
The persinstent attack of Lily, Sarah and Hannah Longworth and the midfield of Beth Hutchinson, Livia Gallagher, and Nikki McChesney continued to dominate throughout the rest of the quarter.
During the 2nd and 3rd quarters Drumragh settled into their play, but the defence of Amelie Curry in goal and Sarah Robinson, Summer Richie, Grace Bracken, Lucia McCusker and Emma Lussu held strong and thwarted the attacks coming their way.
The final quarter saw a rush of goals from the sustained pressure with sucessful strikes from Livia Gallagher, and Lilly McFarland. Final score 3-0
A special thanks and well done also go to Annabelle McKenzie, Alice Edwards, Poppie Beddard and Sarah Robinson all from Yr9 who helped the team to victory.
