The U13s won their game on Saturday against Omagh 40 – 0. They fired out of the blocks and had 7 points on the board before I could get back from the car with waterproofs for the subs. (Harsh weather today – ask for a mac from Santa if you don’t have one already). Alex Howe the scorer and Tadhg Hambly the converter. Play resumed and Omagh did their best to get their heads into the game. There was some to-ing and fro-ing in and around the ERGS 22 but before 10 mins was up Alex had two more and Tadhg kept the conversions equally clinical. 21- 0 after ten minutes. A few substitutions were made and the game rolled on, ERGS dominated possession and regained it quickly anytime it was lost. Harvey Little blew his guts out running from ERGS 22 line to get the next try and there was another try yet before half time. Louis Burns? Quite probably considering it came after Noah Quigley took the ball into a series of rucks which progressed steadily towards the Omagh tryline. Apologies to the scorer if I have that one wrong. Harvey Little put another 5 on the board after the break to take it to 40 and with the conversions now against the wind that is how it finished – injury causing the game to blow up early. Great to see everyone giving it their best on the pitch. Enjoy the break.
