    Atlantic Technological University News Update

    By Sinead Magee | Latest News | Comments are Closed | 28 August, 2025 | 0

BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, our new Master of Pharmacy (MPharm), and the new  AbbVie Ireland – ATU STEM Excellence Scholarship, now open for applications from incoming first-year students.

I’ve also shared details of an information event taking place this Friday, designed to support students as they review their CAO options and ATU offers this month.

    Master of Pharmacy

We are delighted to announce the Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) programme has been formally accredited by the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).  The programme will commence this September 2025 at ATU’s Sligo campus. Students can apply through the CAO Available Places facility from 12 noon on Thursday, 28th August, until 11am on 4th September, using the CAO Code AU975. Existing CAO applicants and those who have not previously applied to the CAO can apply. For all information about this programme, please visit atu.ie/pharmacy

    BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy

We are also delighted to launch another exciting programme:  BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy programme. The programme will commence this September 2025 at ATU’s Letterkenny campus. The BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy programme (CAO Code: AU374) will be open to applications via the CAO Available Places facility from 12 noon the 28th of August until 11am on the  4th of September. Check out atu.ie/AU374 for more information.

    Information Event

Tomorrow Friday, 29th August, ATU will host an Information Day across our Sligo, Letterkenny, and Galway City (Dublin Road) campuses. The event will run from 11am to 2pm and is designed to support students exploring their CAO options and offers with ATU.

    If you would like to:

    • Learn more about our NEW programmes above,
    • Explore available places,
    • Enquire about internal transfers,
    • Didn’t receive a CAO offer, or
    • Are not satisfied with their current offer,

please do attend. Staff from our Schools Engagement and Admissions teams will be available on the day to answer queries, while the Students’ Union will provide guidance on accommodation. Representatives from the Fees and Grants team will also be present to offer support. We’ll be here to ensure each student gets the advice and assistance that’s right for them. For more information, see atu.ie/information-day
