A highly competitive Basketball game took place last Friday afternoon between our U16 Team and the U18 group in the CC Gym. It ended up with the U16’s coming out on top with a 53 to 39 scoreline; both teams deserve credit for serving up some wonderful Basketball over the 4 quarters. A feature of the game was the excellent long-range shooting from both sides for 3 pointers, most notably from Cillian Donaghy , Matthew Wilson & Harvey Crawford for U16’s and from Finn Maes & Toby Newman for the U18’s. Also, the ability of Bryn Haire on rebounds helped see out the win for the U16 group. Much credit to both teams for a great contest and thanks to Mr Corrigan for continuing to facilitate Basketball in ERGS which is going from strength to strength.
