Mrs Kettyle had the pleasure of attending the Celebration of Success at the new Erne Campus of South-West College to see Barry Hutchinson (10D) and Raine Allen (13E) collect their awards for achievement in HSK1 and HSK3 Mandarin Chinese, respectively. Barry and Raine study Mandarin Chinese as an extra-curricular activity after school in Enniskillen Royal Grammar under the expert guidance of Miss Li and Miss Chen, Confucius lecturers attached to South-West College. Barry and Raine’s parents were also in attendance, and everyone enjoyed refreshments after the prize-giving ceremony.
There has been an excellent uptake of Mandarin Chinese as an extra-curricular activity this year, with two pupils having sat the HSK3 examination while six have undertaken the HSK1. Mandarin classes will continue in September and pupils should speak with Mrs Kettyle to register their interest.
