Now is an important time in our society to do everything we can to help pave the way for a more gender-balanced world. Women have come a long way, yet there’s still so much more to be achieved. The theme for International Women’s Day 2019 is #BalanceforBetter. This theme represents the desire to drive gender balance across the world.
At the event, we will hear from inspirational speakers such as Hannah Shields who earned her place in mountaineering history as the first woman from Northern Ireland to reach the summit of Everest, a representative from Ulster Women’s Rugby, a senior Deloitte Business representative, and one of our BrightStarts.
With the Future of Work very much at the forefront of Deloitte, we are committed to ensuring our young people have the knowledge and understanding of what life is like as part of today’s workforce and what it could look like in the future.
We would like to take this opportunity to invite your Year 12 students to attend the event.
Students will have the opportunity to take part in a Future of Work exercise and ask our panel any burning questions.
If you are interested in attending, please contact Mrs Ferguson in school by the end of this week 1st March.
