Dylan Quinn Dance Theatre has been delivering a series of weekly workshops with Year 11 through the Learning for Life and Work curriculum, exploring issues relating to masculinity, relationships and consent.
On Tuesday this programme of work concluded with a workshop bringing together performing arts students from Enniskillen Royal, with St Kevin’s in Lisnaskea. In this session, students engaged with activities looking at consent, and actions that could be taken to challenge unacceptable behaviours in society.
The programme was developed by DQDT to complement the recent performance of Questions of A Man, which the students had the opportunity to see at the Ardhowen Theatre in October. The session finished with a question and answer session focusing on the creative processes used by Dylan when creating performance work, giving students valuable insights into professional practice which they can use to influence and inspire their own work.
