Enniskillen Royal 2nd XV returned to winning ways with a 50-10 win over Banbridge Academy. This came after an agonisingly close lose to Royal School Armagh the previous week.
Enniskillen Royal pressurised their opponents from the off, spreading the ball wide through the backs which allowed Thom Morton to score in the corner. ERGS continued with relentless forward carries and when the ball was spread wide, James Balfour handed off his opposite man with a strong carry to score under the posts. The home side were looking good and scored twice more in quick succession. Adam Boles collected a great offload from his centre partner, Balfour to break the line and score enniskillens third try to make the score 17-0. Enniskillen scored once more through Balfour, who once again beat his opposite number to score a breakaway try. Banbridge returned a blow with a snipe off the back of a scrum from 5 metres out. Enniskillen then came back to score just before the half when full back Josh kennedy called the ball blind to score with an overlap. The half time score was left at 31-5.
The second half started much the way the first began. Enniskillen continued their dominance with a score from Adam Boles who ran a short line off Balfour to run in for his second. Enniskillen began to build phases from strong forward carries which resulted in gain line success, and a pick and drive from Samuel Frazer to score. Banbridge grabbed another try as they found themselves with an overlap out wide and scored in the corner. With the result secured, Enniskillen scored their final try of the match when Dylan Johnston hit a great line to run in from 15 metres out. The game ended 50-10 in favour of the hosts with George foster converting 5 of 8.
