On Tuesday 19th December Enniskillen Royal Grammar School Musicians performed a Christmas Concert in the afternoon at the Diamond. Senior Woodwind and Brass Players combined as a Wind Band under the direction of Mrs A Bloomfield to perform a range of Carols and Festive pieces. They also combined with Choir members from years 12-14 who were under the direction of Miss S Rasdale. The choir took the opportunity to perform some of the Festive Choral Music which has been prepared for the School Carol Services. The ERGS Pipe Band also performed under the direction of Cecil Jones bringing Christmas cheer to the community in and around the town centre.
As part of the Enniskillen Rotary Charity collection, Santa was in place at the Diamond, adding that extra touch of magic! A great time was had by all from school and this was a welcome, light-hearted performance following a busy rehearsal schedule. Our Annual Public Carol Service was held last Thursday evening and our whole school end of term Carol Service is due to take place at St Macartin’s Cathedral tomorrow at 11:00am bringing the Autumn term to a close.
Merry Christmas and best wishes for 2018 from all of our ERGS musicians!
