This week’s entries to the Celebration Gallery demonstrate some of the fantastic work and independent learning being done by ERGS pupils as they remain in lockdown but keen to keep their learning going. Don’t worry if your work isn’t included this week as teachers have been sending through all kinds of material that we will keep uploading over the coming days and weeks.
Over the last few weeks pupils in year 8 Technology pupils have been working on a range of graphics projects. They have completed drawings in isometric and two point perspective this week and below are some excellent examples from a selection of Year 8 – Mr McDevitt
We are very much looking forward to Junior Drama Club’s first episode of their virtual play ‘Erne Emergency’ to be aired on the school website and app on Monday 15th June. I hope you will all be able to listen in and that you enjoy the story; the pupils have had great fun making it. The cast have put in a lot of work and we all learnt a thing or two about virtual meetings and how the recording devices on mobile phones pick up sounds from miles away that you hadn’t even heard. Also that duvets have more uses than you would think… Thank you for your continuing support of the Junior Drama Club. – Mrs McDowell

Despite Lockdown it seems a number of our Year 9 French pupils have managed to go abroad and send back a few postcards about their experiences. – Mrs Quinn

Congratulations to Oran Harty, Joseph O’Kane, Elisha Gallagher and Jamie Browne in Year 10 who all gained full marks in the Covalent Bonding and Intro to Organic Chemistry quiz set using Google Forms – Dr Wilson
Year 10 HE pupils have been busy creating their own advertisements within Home Economics, as part of their project on ‘Advertising’. Zara Hutchinson decided to advertise and design a brand new games, with Zara advertising ‘Cattle Battle’. It is evident how much hard work went into this and she really grasped the personal capability of this task- ‘being creative’. Well done Zara and keep up the excellent work- Miss Wynne

Year 13 Performing Arts Students were delighted to welcome award winning local playwright Kat Woods to their lesson on Monday 1st June, for some insider tips on the role of agents, and developing an online presence to help gain employment in the Performing Arts industry. – Mrs Rees
