12 junior crews (J14/15) from ERBC attended the Head of the Shannon in Carrick on Shannon last Saturday, 8th December.
The MJ 15 4X+ crew of Kyle Abraham, David Trotter, Conor Richardson, Nathan Kelly and cox Frankie Reihill came away with a great win in Race 1 in a time of 14.02.
The WJ15 8+ crew of Darcey Crawford, Ella McDermott, Olivia Jordan, Sophie Stewart, Cait Little, Cathy Fallis, Niamh Cassidy, Eve Courtney and cox Caitlyn Ellison were 2nd in their category to a faster Galway crew.
Brothers John and Joseph O’Kane had a good race and gained some great race experience.
In Race 2 the MJ15 8+ A crew Kyle Abraham, Nathan, Calum Kelly, David Trotter, Conor, Richardson, Ben Corrigan, Rocco Roma, Rory Keogh and cox Frankie Reihill came a close 2nd to Colaiste Iognaid A.
The WJ14 4X+ of Laura Turner, Keeva Corry, Rachel Cullinan, Caitlin Madigan and cox Harry Bell came second to a crew from Neptune RC.
The crews gained a lot of invaluable racing experience in this event, the last event of a very successful 2019 for the Club.

The Club are having their annual Christmas Puds Racing on Saturday, 21st December at 10.30. All former rowers are welcome back to the Club to join in the festivities in their Christmas jumpers and novelty hats. Who will be in the winning crew this year?
