“It’s ok to not to feel ok and it’s absolutely ok to ask for help”
On Friday 17th four representatives of our School Council (Tiana-Grace, Kate, Ethan and William) were invited to attend a national youth congress on mental health in Dublin’s Citywest Convention Centre hosted by the organisation ‘Cycle Against Suicide’. The event was huge, drawing in thousands of young people from school across the country. The day saw a collection of health professionals, personal stories, social media bloggers and UK/Ireland wide music acts perform in a venue and event that can only be described as inspiring.
We now look forward to hosting our own event in late April, as this year’s Ireland wide Cycle Against Suicide Peloton stop off at our Lough Shore site as one of their 2020 anchor schools.
