13 junior crews from ERBC travelled to Limerick Regatta last weekend and they had 2 wins along with 4 2nd place finishes. For many of the rowers this was their first experience of side by side racing and they all competed well and gained invaluable experience.
The boys J13 4X+ crew Josh Allen, Louis McIvor, Noah Corrigan, Levi Thompson and cox Grace Collins had a great win over the crew from St Michael’s RC, Castleconnell BC and St Joseph’s RC. This was the first regatta race for the crew and they were delighted with the win.
WJ15 4X+ Brooke Davis, Darcy Balfour, Olie Powell (cox) Chloe Simmons, Grace Collins had a win over Shannon RC and 2 crews from Carrick RC
There were great 2nd place finishes for WJ13 8X+, MJ14 4X+ C, WJ14 8X+, WJ13 4X+ in some very hard-fought races which gives the young rowers great racing experience as they go through the rest of the regatta season.
The senior crews stayed at home to train in glorious sunshine as they prepare to race at the Grand League Skibbereen Regatta at the National Rowing Centre in Cork this weekend.
