Mandarin Chinese lessons are being delivered to ERGS pupils each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons as an extra-curricular activity. Currently, twenty-two pupils are availing of this excellent opportunity which is co-ordinated by the Confucius Institute for Northern Ireland at Ulster University (CINIUU) via the South-West College Confucius hub. Pupil feedback to date has been very positive from both the newcomers and, those like Raine Allen and Kathryn Johnston-Martin who have been studying Mandarin Chinese for a number of years with CINIUU.
