A superb weekend of rugby for the Medallion squad with two very competitive fixtures against Marist College Athlone, the Bs loosing 40-15 whilst the As produced a superb final 15 defensive effort to hold a 15-12 victory. From Athlone, the 33 man squad headed to Galway for an afternoon of shopping and then to the Ulster/Connacht game at Galway Sportsgrounds. A fantastic night of fast-paced physical rugby coupled with plenty of friendly ‘banter’ with the local supporters made for a superb stadium atmosphere, despite Ulster coming second. An overnight hostel stay in the city and onto the Boda Borg Escape Room challenge at Lough Key on Sunday made for a fantastic mini-tour weekend with a great set of boys.
