Music Success, Feis Results 2017 – Classical Music Section

    By Enniskillen Royal | Latest News | Comments are Closed | 13 March, 2017 | 0

Enniskillen Royal Grammar School is delighted that the Classical Music Section of the Feis is up and running again after a two-year break. We had a large number of entries across the school in Solo Vocal and Instrumental Classes as well as Ensemble and Senior Choir entries. The Feis provided a positive platform for participating pupils who in many cases won medals and were commended for their performances. The adjudicator, Richard Yarr who is a Senior Producer working in Classical Music for the BBC was most positive with each pupil giving useful tips on how to improve and develop their skills and musicianship. The Senior Choir gave a commanding performance and we celebrated wonderful ensemble performances by both a more established Senior Brass Ensemble as well as a newly formed Junior Woodwind Ensemble. We are especially delighted to have ERGS pupils winning a number of the Overall Best Performer prizes including Best Vocal Soloists in KS3, KS4 and at KS5 Sophie Coalter was named as ‘Young Singer of the Year’.
