Congratulations to the winners of the library Myths and Legends Art competition. The standard was extremely high with a diverse range of brilliant entries. The judges awarded joint second prize to Keira Salcedo 9A for her amazing drawing of Bakunawa, a sea serpent from Philipino mythology. The other joint second prize was awarded to Lena Gorczynska 8A for her stunning depiction of Baba Yaga, a supernatural figure from Polish folklore. The judges were, however, unanimous in their choice of first prize winner and this went to Kean Neones 8D for his superb pencil drawing of Medusa from Greek legend. Kean’s entry showed real skill and detail so really well done!
All entrants will receive house points and will be invited for Festive treats in the library during the last week of term. Well done everyone!
