We had a wonderful day at Killicomaine Junior High school in Portadown representing Fermanagh in the National Reading Champions Quiz 2025. The Quiz consisted of 8 rounds (75 questions) covering a diverse range of book topics, categories included Siblings, England Ireland Scotland and Wales, Dark Tales and Book Design.
Our 2 teams displayed some very impressive bookknowledge, and one of the ERGS teams ranked 2nd out of 26 teams, frustratingly missing out on 1st place by 1 point. Huge congratulations to both teams who thoroughly enjoyed the experience and are very keen to compete again next year.
Congratulations to Finn McEvoy 8D, Jacob McCaffrey8A, Cathair McCusker 9B, Lucy Roberts 8D, Zinnia Beeson8E, Amelia Rose Blair 9D, Charlie Beacom 9C, and Harry Hasselman 9C, who will receive prize book tokens from the National Literacy Trust.
