ERBC went to National Schools Regatta at Eton Dorney last weekend and came back to Enniskillen with the Anna Fangen Cup for the J16 G 4+ Abby Corry, Caragh Leonard, Jenny Little, Nikki Kernaghan and cox Sarah Dolan.
The boys 1st eight won Silver in the Non Champs eights after making the A Final of the Champs/Non Champs eights for the 1st time. Sam Balcombe and Peter Murphy won bronze medals in the Ch 2- .
The boys Ch4- Jack McDade, Jack Kennedy, Nathan Timoney and Odhran Donaghy just missed out on medals in the Ch4-.
The 16 crews reached 4 A Finals and 5 B Finals over the 3 days of racing, a record for the Club. The rowers were racing against the top UK rowing schools and did themselves and their coaches proud.
Thanks to all the coaches, parents and Damian Dempster who travelled to Eton Dorney with the kids and a special word of thanks to Barney Rix and Jane Willis for taking on the logistics of organising the travel plans for everyone. Many thanks to Derek Holland for taking the boats across the Irish Sea on top of his many other tasks for the weekend.
