Day 2 at the Irish Rowing Championships
We had an amazing day yesterday at the Irish Rowing Championships, with gold medals for the Men’s Junior Eights and the Women’s Junior Coxless Four, along with silver medals for the Junior 16 Eight.
The victories in both championship races came after thrilling finishes, making the achievements even more memorable.
Girls’ Junior Coxless Four - Champions of Ireland! 🏆
What a race! In a thrilling finish, our Girls’ Junior Coxless Four powered their way to victory to become Champions of Ireland!
🏆 Junior Eights Champions of Ireland!
What a performance from our boys, who have been crowned Junior Eights Champions of Ireland! This video captures the final 600 metres of a superb race, as the crew showed incredible determination, composure and teamwork to row their way to the national title.
Day 1 at Irish Rowing Championships
The Junior 16 girls Coxed Four are Champions of Ireland. 🎉👏 Congratulations to them and well done to our other 4 crews who rowed today.👏
Good luck and safe travels to everyone heading to Cork to the Irish Rowing Championships this weekend. We have 25 crews in action over the 4 days and we wish them all the very best of luck.
We are really looking forward to returning to the Castle Hotel Macroom who always take great care of us.

Congratulations to Ben – Irish National Champion 2026!
A huge congratulations to ERGS student Ben McCaldin, who has been crowned Topper Ireland National Champion after an outstanding performance at the Topper Ireland National Championships this weekend.
This fantastic achievement is the result of months of dedication and hard work, training with both the RYA Northern Ireland and Irish squads. Ben’s commitment and determination have certainly paid off, and we are incredibly proud of all he has accomplished.
Ben now turns his attention to the Topper World Championships in Quiberon, France, later this month, followed by the British National Championships in Weymouth in August.
Everyone at Enniskillen Royal Grammar School congratulates Ben on this wonderful success and wishes him every success in the upcoming championships. We look forward to following his progress.

Our Henley 2026 journey came to an end today. Despite two outstanding performances, our crews came up against two very strong opponents.
What an incredible week it has been. To have both of our junior eights win a race at Henley Royal Regatta is a remarkable achievement and one that everyone involved with the club can be immensely proud of.
We are so proud of every rower, coach and supporter who has been part of this journey. Your dedication, hard work and commitment have been exceptional, and you have represented our club with distinction both on and off the water.
Attention now turns to the Irish Rowing Championships next weekend, where our crews will bring the 2026 season to a close. We wish them every success and have no doubt they will continue to make us proud.
