Congratulations to Jessica Noble in Year 13 who represented the Enniskillen and District Soroptimists at the Northern Ireland final of the Soroptimist Public Speaking Competition last Saturday in Hillsborough where she, along with eleven other finalists from across Northern Ireland, delivered a prepared speech of six minutes and an extempore speech of two minutes on an unseen topic.
Jessica delivered her prepared speech on ‘The United Nations predict it will be 300 years to reach gender equality-seriously?’ The extempore topic was Happiness is……?
In a competition distinguished by its exceptionally high standard and in front of a very large audience, Jessica delivered both her speeches with remarkable poise and effect and did herself, and her local community proud. She even managed to give the beauties of Fermanagh a great plug in her extempore speech!
