It was a great day for our senior debaters, Nathaniel Nkoma, Lin Ruo Zhang and especially Uma De Naipir (Yr 12) who qualified for the Final in Stormont on March 3rd with her stand-in partner from Coleraine Grammar School. The Literacy and Scientific Society (Literific) is Queen’s oldest debating society founded to promote public speaking, critical thinking, and intellectual discourse and there was plenty of that on display last Tuesday as students from across Northern Ireland came head-to-head to debate the issues of the day. The event was run by the Literific students who were on hand to provide feedback and tips to the young debaters. A great experience and achievement for all the pupils involved.
