    QUINN Polymer Processing Apprenticeship – Applications now open

    One of the key focuses for Quinn is the development and up-skilling of our existing staff, creating career paths and opportunities for new employees to develop and become future leaders within the business.

    This is supported by the range of Graduate and Apprenticeship programmes, school partnerships, work placement offerings and internal multi-skilling programmes that are underway.

    We are delighted to be able to offer an exceptional Career opportunity to individuals interested in a career in the Plastics or Polymer processing sectors.

    Our new Polymer Processing Apprenticeship programme that has been developed by Plastics Ireland (a business association within Ibec) in conjunction with Athlone Institute of Technology and the Institute of Technology Sligo along with representatives from the plastics industry.

    Polymer Technology Apprenticeship – leading to a Bachelor of Science in Polymer Processing Technology

    The 3 year Apprenticeship programme, which on completion awards a Bachelor of Science in Polymer Processing Technology, offers blended learning through a combination of practical on the job learning and attending college to obtain the associated theoretical aspects.

    You will cover modules such as Maths, Engineering Science, Workshop and Metrology, ICT, Automation and Control, CAD, Mould Design and Polymer processing.

    You will be mentored by a Polymer Engineer in our world class production facilities where you will be responsible for the efficient set up and operation of polymer processing lines to industry standards across the Quinn Packaging, Quinn Therm and Quinn Litepac divisions of Quinn Industrial.

    Entry Requirements:

    Applicants must have 6 GCSE passes in grade A – C including English and Mathematics or hold a leaving certificate grade 06 at ordinary level in 5 subjects, 2 of which must be Mathematics and a language (English or Irish).
