    Rowing Ireland 1k Classic

    ERBC won an incredible 94 medals at the 1K Classic at Lough Rinn over the weekend winning 16 categories. This is the equivalent of the Rowing Championships for Junior 13 – Junior 15 crews. 904 Crews from 46 Clubs competed in the event with ERBC entering 53 crews. The Club won the Victor Ludorum trophy for the top Club over the weekend with 95 points, Skibbereen Rc were 2nd with 72 points and Lee Valley RC and Castleconnell BC shared 3rd place with 61.

    • WJ15 4X+ – Eva Fowler, Clodagh Donaghy, Kaityln Read, Penny Huddlestone and Milena Remedios (cox)
    • MJ14 8X+ – Josh Allen, Eli Irvine, George Elliott, Oliver Collins. Albie Cluff, Louis McIvor, Levi Thompson, Finlay Bell and Rachel Cathcart (cox)
    • WJ14 4X+ Nicole Graham, Kaitlyn Read, Clodagh Donaghy, Maeve Rolston McAuliffe and Leah Topping (cox)
    • MJ14 1X – Eli Irvine
    • MJ14 1X – Josh Allen
    • MJ15 8X+ – Evan Clarke, Josh Allen, Oliver Jennings, Joel Crean, James McAleer, Caelen Moore, Reece Brady, Harry Welsh and Rachel Cathcart (cox)
    • J14 Mixed 8X+ – Josh Allen, George Elliott, Maeve Rolston McAuliffe, Clodagh Donaghy, Kaityln Read, Olivia Muras, Oliver Collins, Levi Thompson and Freya McNeary (cox)

    • J15 Mixed 8X+ Evan Clarke, Joel Crean, Eva Fowler, Freya McNeary, Aimee Turner, Penny Huddlestone, Oliver Jennings, James McAleer and Milena Remedios (cox)
    This was the climax of the junior rowing season and it ended on an incredible high. Many thanks to all the coaches who trained the rowers throughout the year to prepare them for this event and to the parents who travelled to Lough Rinn to support the athletes.

    The senior crews will compete at the Irish Championships at National Rowing Centre from Friday 11th – Sunday 13th July.
