Congratulations to Ben McCaldin, who has been selected to represent Northern Ireland at the RS Feva UK National Championships, taking place at Dalgety Bay Sailing Club, Scotland, from 24th to 27th May 2025.
Ben is a dedicated and talented young sailor, and currently part of the Northern Ireland Sailing Team, which brings together the top youth sailors from across the province. Managed by the Royal Yachting Association Northern Ireland (RYANI) and supported by Sport Northern Ireland, the team forms part of a high-performance programme designed to develop the next generation of national and international competitors.
Competing in the RS Feva class, Ben follows a demanding training and competition schedule that includes travelling across Ireland, the UK and even further afield to take part in major events. Outside of competitions, Ben commits a significant amount of time to personal training and fitness, all while maintaining his school studies.
We are very proud of Ben and wish him every success as he competes on the national stage in Scotland.
