A huge well done to our Senior Girl’s Rugby squad who staged a first class comeback in today’s School’s Cup Final at Kingspan Stadium, but lost in the last play of the game 9-8 against local rivals Erne Integrated College.
With over 400 supporters travelling to Belfast from both school communities it made for a great atmosphere in the stands as the two squads played some excellent end to end rugby in glorious conditions.
After a nervous first quarter, the ERGS girls started to build confidence in the second and third eventually equalising a 2 try deficit in the final quarter to level the score 8-8. However credit has to be given to the EIC girls who managed to hammer themselves over the line in the last second of the game to score their winning 9th try of the contest and secure this years 🏆.
A fantastic atmosphere and congratulations to EIC!
