ERGS vs Hunterhouse
On Tuesday 25th February our Senior Netball team faced their toughest challenge to date. From a squad of 18, whittled down to the 12-strong squad,as per competition rules, we made our way to South Lakes Leisure Centre to play Hunterhouse in our 1/4 Final Shield Match.
This was a very fast-paced game in which every single member of the squad committed themselves. There was excellent play from both teams from start to finish, but there was no denying that Hunterhouse had that little edge to them that we lacked. I would say that this was in part due to less match play in the lead up to the competition, the lack of club structure in the West but also ( to give credit where it is due), the speed and reaction times of the Hunterhouse squad.
The ERGS Senior squad can hold their heads high and be proud of how they played and conducted themselves on the court. This was just not to be their day.
Hunterhouse won the match and progress to the Semi-finals. We all wish them the very best of luck.
